What better way to kick off the Craftery than with a free pattern? I give you my first original design that actually worked like I told it to:
Cascade Cloud 9 (1 ball, 109 yards)
Sublime Baby Cashmere Merino Silk DK (1 ball, 127 yards)
Size 7 (4.5mm) 16″ circulars

It’s got cables. It’s got a big ol’ (3.5″) pom-pom. It’s got sun-shaped decreases. And it’ll keep your ears warm and snuggly all winter long.
In truth, you could use any worsted-weight yarn for this. Solid or semi-solid colors work best. My colors here are on the girly side, but the hat works for dudes too. And of course, the pom-pom is optional. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for squeezability, but optional.
